Rain, Liberty and Soccer

**********

“Each of us is the result of a thought of God.
Each of us is willed.
Each of us is loved.
Each of us is necessary.”

Pope Benedict XVI

Rain Music

“On the dusty earth-drum
Beats the falling rain;
Now a whispered murmur,
Now a louder strain.

Slender, silvery drumsticks,
On an ancient drum,
Beat the mellow music
Bidding life to come.

Chords of earth awakened,
Notes of greening spring,
Rise and fall triumphant
Over every thing.

Slender, silvery drumsticks
Beat the long tattoo--
God, the Great Musician,
Calling life anew.”

By Joseph Seamon Cotter

On Monday June 17, 1885 a ship arrived from France carrying "350 individual pieces packed in more than 200 cases," which contained the unassembled Statue of Liberty. A gift from the people of France.

My new heroine, Carli Anne Lloyd of the U.S. Women’s National Soccer Team.
I enjoy watching her play and marvel at her skill and scoring abilities.

We are in a positive recovery mode and I thank all of you who have prayed and continue to pray for us.
God Bless.
