Children of Briartun

The children are standing near some woods east of the village of Briatun. 

On the left are Matthew and Abigail Longton. The son and daughter of the Reverend Thomas and Mary Longton.

The young girl in the center is Mary Gantt, daughter of Nancy and Issac Gantt.

Kenneth Bates, the lad next to Mary, is the brother of Donald Bates.

Daniel Bell is the son of Martha and Ira Bell.

The Ladies at Briartun

 

The Ladies at Briartun

I finally completed some additional ladies for Briartun. 

Once again using the Courthouse as a background.

On the left is Martha Bell. She is the wife of Samuel and helps keep the farm running. Her cooking is excellent and she makes terrific apple pies. Just ask her son Elias.

Vivian Marten is next and she is the wife of Chester Martin. She makes sure that his office runs smoothly and efficiently. Her involvement in the school and church is greatly appreciated by everyone.

Nancy Gantt and Enid Griffith are also well known in Briartun for their support in making sure the Militia have the necessary supplies when they go out on patrol.

More Civilians Arrive at Briartun

 

These figures are some new additions to Briartun.

Bernard Galey is on the left.

Next to him is Elias Bell, son of Ira Bell.

To the right of Elias is Chester Marten and Simon Ryall.

Bernard will team up with Arthur and Issac on their next wood gathering trip. Reference “Woodcutters Along the Mohawk,” published May 7, 2019.

Elias will join his father on the farm, the extra help will be appreciated. Reference "Ira Bell's Farmhouse." Published October 26, 2016.

Chester Martin will probably get involved with the local politics utilizing his expertise as a lawyer. He was successful back in New York and has been looking to settle in Briartun.

Simon Ryall is a merchant looking to expand his business by connecting Briartun to his contacts in New York and Boston.

Regiment de Bearn

This is a new squad of French Regulars. They are the Regiment de Bearn and are led by Lieutenant Jacques Fontaine from Sion, France. 

The figures are Old Glory French Line Command and French Line Infantry Advancing.

The Lieutenant has been assigned the task of raiding the small settlement of Ryall located along  Dirreen Creek. He will be joined by some Coureurs des Bois, led by Jacques Tremblay. Also going on the expedition is Animkil and his band of Ojibwa.
