Gathering Around the Campfire

Welcome to Briartun
Established January 2016

**********

I have completed my British campfire figures. The photos below show a typical process from priming to completion.

Primed with a base coat of flesh.

Colors added, close to finishing.
Completed figures mounted.
Also added a spitted ox roasting over a fire and some utensils.

Table view of completed project.

The campfire scene is a location outside of Briartun. The 48th Regiment of Foot had a temporary encampment while on the way to their next assignment.

The cook is Emma Stanley who is know for her meat pies. She had a knack for finding things no matter where the regiment bivouacked.

Walking up behind her is Thomas Brown. He's the one who acquired the ox roasting on the fire.

The two men sitting are James Chambers and Robert Adlin. They are discussing the shortage of liquor within the encampment.

Agnes Gare is cutting the hair of John Bedford. John is the veteran of the group.
