Winter at OBX - Fini

Traveling to the Outer Banks is one of my favorite “things to do.” Each season in the Outer Banks is different but unique. This is the first time we have made a winter trip but we were fortunate that the weather was sunny with temperatures averaging around fifty degrees. Usually we are there during the week of Memorial Day which is much warmer and we can sit on the beach. In either case the best thing is the people you are with. I thank God that we have a loving family and friends. The times we spend with them become beautiful memories that we keep and share. Dee’s photographs provide a story book of our travels and enhance these memories. We need to slow down and enjoy the precious moments. Put our arms around the experiences and embrace them knowing that they are never really gone. They will be forever in our hearts and minds.

Everyone was up early Sunday morning for packing and cleaning. We had a hearty breakfast at Duck Deli which was delicious. Some last minute shopping for Dee and Pam and then we headed home. There was some rain on the way home but we still made good time. Lord, thank you for enabling us to spend some relaxing days with our friends. Thank you for getting everyone home safely.
